My Take On It: If you pick up this novella expecting a lighthearted, fun read, you're in for a serious shock. I had no idea what the story was about when I picked it up. I like to go into a book with no expectations about the story, so sometimes I don't even read the synopsis before picking up a book. This was one of those times. That being said, this was an amazing introduction to a series that promises to engage the reader every step of the way. For every emotion the characters experience, the reader will feel it as well. The joy, the sorrow, the anger, the terror...expect them all and expect a few shocks along the way!

My Take On It: O M G! I'm not sure who I'm more in love with. Tony? Vic? Nikki? Within just a few pages I was completely immersed in their lives. I laughed, I cried, I swore, I shouted. These were not just characters in a book, these were my people. My family. My friends. I wanted the happily ever after for Tony and Nikki as much as I wanted my own. I absolutely loved that these people were not in their 20s. These are fully mature adults who knew how to be adults, yet were still afflicted with that "teenage" terror when it comes to meeting and interacting with a person they are interested in. It made me positively giddy when they finally came together and started getting to know each other. These two seemingly broken people who came together and healed themselves and each other and in doing so enriched the lives of everyone they came in contact with. Beautifully done!

My Take On It: This book definitely lives up to the standards set the by two that came before it in the series. I have to admit, I was especially looking forward to reading this story. Vic is such a great guy who deserves every ounce of happiness he can get. Laura is so seriously damaged that it would take someone incredibly special and willing to do what has to be done to help her come back from her past. How do you learn to live again when the nightmare you once lived through becomes the terror that haunts your days and nights and threatens the lives of everyone you come near? Together Vic and Laura bring each other back to life and learn to love the people they have become. A rich and beautiful story so well told that you would swear you can hear them whispering to each other!
